Class Details
Join your tutor Kate for a two and a half hour unique learning experience being shown how to throw on the potters wheel. You will create a unique piece that will be yours to keep forever. (Maximum of 3 pieces) Kate will demonstrate how to throw various sized pieces that you can then replicate on the wheel yourself. You should then be able to throw two pieces which will be dried and kiln fired. You can choose a coloured glaze of your choice to be applied by Kate, or book another session to come and glaze your piece yourself. Your work will be ready for collection about 4-6 weeks after your session. This workshop is perfect for beginners or those looking to refresh their skills. There is a wide variety of decorating tools that you can use. Come create something beautiful and unique in a relaxed and supportive environment. Book your session now. You can either enjoy your day on your own or why not enjoy it with your partner. Please choose couple option if you wish to enjoy this with your partner as it is a £20 discount for your partner. Whats included : All materials, tools, and earthenware clay, as well as use of a wheel for the duration of the session. 3 thrown pieces. Equipment : All equipment that you need is provided and included in the cost. Food/Drink : No food or drink is allowed in the studio due to health and safety reasons. Clothing : please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Aprons are provided. Your best piece will be bisque and glaze fired for you to pick up later on. This course runs : Tuesdays and Thursdays - 1.00pm - 3.30pm Please note - Person attending must be 13 years or older.
