Kate has worked as a teacher for more than 16 years. In that time she's taught across age ranges and continents. Though teaching has always been her passion, the job comes with it's stresses. "I soon realised that I needed a gentle creative night class to help me unwind. That is when I discovered pottery. Because it can be quite a slow process, it forced me to slow down and focus on one thing. It's the perfect stress relief as working with clay is very therapeutic. At the time I did my pottery classes in Winchester (as there was nowhere local). This is when I realised Andover needed its own pottery studio"

Primal Pottery Studio is situated at the Fairground Craft & Design Centre in Weyhill, The centre was once one of the largest sheep fairs in the country. Because of their age, the buildings are rustic and quirky. There is also a cafe and many other shops and studios, which also run classes and workshops.
Open - 10am - 4pm - Tuesdays to Saturday
Classes run - 1pm - 3.30pm Tuesdays to Saturday and
Thursdays evenings - 6.30pm - 9pm
Closed Sundays and Mondays
